The Steam Exchange worked with visiting artist , Patrick Rowe to lead a variety of workshops in the Smoketown neighborhood. Here is a quick overview of our week of workshops!
On Monday we had the first of our weekly workshops with The Kingdom Academy at Meyzeek Middle School.
On Tuesday we met with the Bates Memorial’s high school group, SPICE, and created the journals that they are going to use throughout the year.
On Wednesday we were back out at the Mobile Market, screen printing with every passerby on our new converted hot dog cart.
On Thursday we worked with Collaborative After School-Programs (CLASP) at Meyzeek Middle School.
On Friday we taught screen printing to the new Youthbuild Louisville class, and we had a youth vision meeting where we skyped with Mobile Print Power youth in NYC.
We had so much fun working with each group and look forward to future workshops!
